Soca: Energetic and upbeat, this dance style emerges from the carnival culture of Trinidad and Tobago, perfect for celebration and expression.
Dancehall: Hailing from Jamaica, Dancehall is known for its distinctive beats and expressive movements, allowing dancers to showcase their individuality.
Kaiso (Calypso): With its roots in storytelling, Kaiso incorporates playful expression and rhythm, encouraging a connection with lyrical tradition.

Participants will not only learn the history and context behind these dance forms but will also have the opportunity to move, groove, and express themselves. Our workshops are interactive, allowing students to enjoy music while learning Afro-Caribbean dance moves and utilising props like hand-held instruments, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere.
I want to express my gratitude for the Afro-Caribbean workshop you provided. My daughter absolutely loved it and is still doing the dance! The teacher had so much energy and was so animated – Julianna Nesbitt
